Homemade food items will be more healthy and tasty when compared with any other food. However many people prefer eating at hotels because of the variety of dishes that they serve.
So now looking at north Indian food, “Chappathi” is the famous among them. Those who follow diet eat Chappathi, so if they wish to have different variety in it then doing different side dish alone is not enough; change in main dish is also required.
Regular Chappathi dough preparation:
1) Take a bowl, add some 300 grams wheat flour, 3tsp oil (with mild heat) and salt to taste.
2) Mix it well and add water to make as dough. Don’t add too much of water anyway. Make them as some balls and make some flour ready to roll them.
Ghee hot Chappathi:
1) Hot generally refers to spiciness in Chappathi. This is good for children and for throat.
2) As soon as the balls are ready, roll them with roller and apply some ghee on the entire surface and add little chilli and pepper powder (just little).
3) Now keep another rolled Chappathi on it and do the same process like applying ghee and spices for at least five Chappathi.
4) Roll it and cut them into five equal pieces and now again roll them as Chappathi and put it in hot tawa and turn for 3 times and have always mild heat.
Stuffed Chappathi:
1) Stuffed generally refers to keeping some materials like mashed or boiled vegetables inside it.
2) We can use boiled carrot, beans or potatoes. Now peel off the skin of vegetable say potato and boil and smash it.
3) Add chilly, masala powders and also other vegetables (if any). On the rolled Chappathi keep this mixture closes it into balls and again rolls them.
4) Now put in tawa and follow same steps. Then serve them with some ordinary Chappathi side dish.
